Bachelor's degree, Berklee College of Music - Boston, Mass.

First to receive Bachelor's degree in Applied Music for the Vibraphone and Mallet instruments and extensive studies in arranging and composition.

Graduated Summa Cum Laude 1973 - 1976

Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, American Wind Symphony, Wilkensburg Symphony,

International Symphony - Switzerland, 25 years leader of own jazz quartet performing throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe at colleges and universities, jazz clubs, and jazz festivals, some of which are; Montreux Jazz Festival - Switzerland, Northsea Jazz Festival - Holland, Montreal Jazz Festival - Canada, Pittsburgh Jazz Festival, Three Rivers Arts Festival, Shadyside Arts Festival, Rites of Spring

Jazz Festival - Nashville, Summer Lights Festival - Nashville. Mellon Jazz Festival, Franklin, Tn Jazz Festival etc.

Performed Gunther Schuller's Concertino for Jazz Quartet and Orchestra with Westmoreland Symphony, Pa., Featured artist at International Music event at Paris Conservatory of Music, Nashville's most recorded mallet artist, etc.

 

Endorsements:

Jerry was a very popular and much in demand Artist/Clinician for the Musser Vibraphone and Marimba co./division of Ludwig Drums since 1972. In March of 2022, Jerry signed on to endorse the Bergerault BV extended series vibraphones.

Featured clinician at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention '82 in Dallas, Tx., '89 & '04 in Nashville, Tn., and New Orleans '92

Featured clinician/soloist at the Ludwig Percussion Symposium '83 in Knoxville, Tn., performed with famed jazz drummer Alan Dawson and Danny Gottlieb.
